[He probably noticed, but Dazai doesn't get tired of pointing it out.]

...Maybe, but that doesn't change that I did a lot of it for you.

Even then... It's, it's not easy to look out for someone else in a situation dangerous like this. And - you didn't just do that for me, you did it for, for other people, too. So, that's... something to be proud of.

Then I'm happy. No matter what everyone else thinks of me - that's enough.

[His birth family would not have supported him this long.]

[With those words, almost unconsciously, the embrace grows a little tighter.]
