[After Dazai is done embarrassing Waver in public - so a lot later, probably - he focuses on wanting to meet Dragon.

This time he actually knocks. No kicking down the Crafters' doors today, he learned his lesson.]

[Even though he and Evan were sharing a room on the Other Side, somehow it didn't feel the same as being back here in their room. Dazai flops on the bed.]

[He probably noticed, but Dazai doesn't get tired of pointing it out.]

[The whole execution thing still happened and still sucked, but at least Souji's here now, alive and well.]

I always said you and Veronica were the smart ones.

[Of course Dazai tracked Sharpay down. She was the first person he considered a friend here - he has to.

But let's not start with gushing. Instead:]

I have no idea how long we get to keep our gifts, so if you want me to make any outfits for you, now is the time.

[Tragically, they did not get to bring their wardrobes from the Other Side.]

['Not here' means 'we can kiss in your room', right? Right. But even Dazai knows there are a few things that he should probably talk about, and if he kisses Waver the second he walks in he'll never stop.]

So, I don't know where you live, but I don't take up much space. I can sleep on the floor! I'm used to it. And I don't have many needs aside from a little bit of food and some ink if I get injured, so - so I won't be a bother, I promise!

[Other than being a bother by being an over-affectionate Dazai, but Waver already knows about that.]

[Sometime later, much later, Dazai spots Stephanie in the dining hall. He's tempted to run away, but... no. The responsible thing to do is apologize.]

Um. I wanted to apologize to you, and also ask you not to kill me because Evan would be upset about it?

[Evan's taste in family members is questionable.]

...But mostly apologize.

[Despite his earlier statement that if he saw any of the people who threatened to kill him he was running like hell... Dazai tracks Ion down.

He clears his throat, then bows his head in contrition.]
